Edwardsville Library Friends

The Edwardsville Library Friends (the ELFs) are citizens convinced of the importance of a modern, well-equipped and well-staffed library. Believing in the value of books and reading in the lives of everyone, they look to the library as the book and information center of the community. The ELFs help develop public understanding of the library and make its resources better known to the community.
One of the ELF's main projects is the operation of Carnegie's, the used book and gift shop/café across from the Library's circulation desk. ELFs are involved in every aspect of Carnegie's, including staffing the counter, sorting book donations, selecting gift items to sell and scheduling volunteers. Money raised through ELF projects help fund a wide variety of items and projects, such as special entertainment for the annual summer reading program.
