Events

 Independent Readers Challenge

  • Read 30 minutes a day for 5 weeks.

  • Reading material must be on your reading level.

  • Color in a square on your Time Log for each 30 minutes of reading.

  • Turn in Time Logs any time after July 15 and before July 26.

  • Everyone finishing the Readers Challenge will receive their own paperback book and other coupons listed below.

Little Book Buddy Reading Program

  • For those between the ages of 4 and 8.

  • Read with a Big Book Buddy volunteer from grades 5 – 12.

  • Meet to read together at the library for a ½ hour session each week for four weeks.

  • Sessions start the week of June 16 and run until July 10.

  • Fill out a Little Buddy application (at the library or on line) and return it to the library as soon as possible.

  • *Assignment of book buddies will depend on matching compatible time schedules with Big Buddies.

Wednesday Workout Activity Programs

All programs will be held in the Library Meeting Room or at the City Park Band Shell. Programs are suitable for various ages.

June 11 – 1 p.m. - Puppet Show

June 18 - 1 p.m. – Nitro Joe

June 25 – 1 p.m. – Everyday Circus from the City Museum

July 2 - 1 p.m. – Chris McBrien, Magic Storyteller

July 9 – 1 p.m. - Dr. Funster, Magic Game Show

July 16 - 1 p.m. – Stuart's One-Man Circus

July 23 - 7 p.m. – Babaloo, Crazy Singer Guy

July 30 - 7 p.m. - Steven's Puppets

 

 

 Library Game On!

Let the Games Begin!   Games start in the library on Monday, June 23 and end Friday, July 25.

Participants will receive prizes for each week they play.
