Cary's Shelf - June is Camping Month

Published Monday, June 6, 2022

Do we need a designated "national camping month?" I don't think so. We either love camping & hiking in the great outdoors, or we don't. For those who do, any month of the year can offer a beneficial and unique experience. In keeping with our 2022 Summer Reading theme, "Read Beyond the Beaten Path" (a reading challenge for both Adults & Kids - click here for more info.), I thought I'd select a few of our camping and hiking titles that might inspire you to pack up the tent or camper and get going. Don't forget to take along some print or digital books!

Cary is our Development & Outreach Librarian. Her idea of a perfect day is a complete stereotype: reading or watching British crime fiction with a cup of hot tea close at hand, her favorite quilt, and her cats Clio & Junie on her lap.
