Curbside Service is Back at EPL!

Published Friday, May 29, 2020

Dear Library Patrons,

We have missed seeing you during this challenging time and are looking forward to starting a gradual reopening process to serve our community.

We are excited to inform you that we will begin accepting material returns and offering contactless curbside service on Monday, June 1. These services will be available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 – 5:00 and Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 – 6:30.

Holds will be reinstated, and you can start placing new hold requests for items owned by our library through our online catalog at https://www.edwardsvillelibrary.org, by calling the library at 692-7556, or by emailing us at info@edwpl.org. Items belonging to other libraries will not be available until it is safe for our regional library system to resume delivery. A video tutorial is below demonstrating how to search for items in our catalog. You will receive a notification when your items are ready. Please call the library 15 minutes before you come to pick them up.

Material returns will only be accepted in our Kansas Street book drop during operating hours, and all remote book drops will remain locked until further notice. Items will be quarantined for 7 days before being recirculated, and all overdue fines will be waived.

The situation is fluid and we may need to change our plans on short notice. We ask for your patience during this time as we keep the health and welfare of our patrons and staff as our top priority. If you have questions or need assistance, feel free to call us at 618-692-7556 or email us at info@edwpl.org.

Sincerely,

Jill Schardt

Director
Edwardsville Public Library
