Picture of dorian gray
What book can you read again and again without losing interest? Why do you still read it?

The Picture of Dorian Gray, it’s a book that really opens perspectives on how you should aim to live your life to the fullest but in a way that is good morally.

If you were a literary character, who would you be and why?

The BFG…for obvious reasons

What aspects of the library do you think are underutilized?

Basically anything that’s not just books. I in recent months saw an episode of the Sunday show and got to see one of the worlds most technologically advanced libraries and it just made me think that that’s what libraries should be. Pinnacles of knowledge that have something for everyone. I don’t think any subject should be neglected in a library because whether the subject is good or bad it is part of society’s collective knowledge.

What is your favorite book format (book, audio, mp3, e-reader, etc.)?

Something about physical books is just better than anything else to me.

What is your favorite aspect of working at the library?

I really enjoy my coworkers here. Even if not everyone gets along all the time it doesn’t affect our future interactions.

What is your guilty reading (or listening) pleasure?

I don’t think I have one to be honest.

What books do you feel guilty for not having read?

As much as I love the fantasy genre I haven’t read that many series in it.

Have your reading habits changed since working at the library? If so, how?

Yes….I started reading again.

What is your perfect reading environment?

Outside on a cold day somewhere where its just nature for scenery.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what single genre of books would you want with you?

Fantasy for sure…..or maybe survival books so I know exactly how to live longer.

What was your favorite children’s book when you were a child? What is your favorite children’s book now?

Is and always will be a tie between the Magyk series and the Deltora series.

Before you worked here, what was your worst library transgression?

Probably just being too loud and disruptive in a library.
