How long have you worked at the library?
Since September 13th and I truly love it.
How many items do you have checked out right now?
None right at the moment, but I did just return four!
How many items are on your hold list?
I’ve only used the hold list a few times. It is SO VAST that it makes me anxious!
What is your favorite aspect of working at the library?
I love working in the Youth Library. It makes me feel creative and inspired as an artist. Children’s books are getting weirder and cuter and I LOVE IT.
What is your favorite book format (book, audio, mp3, e-reader, etc.)?
Books all the way! With the unavoidable zombie apocalypse, they also make the best weapon out of these options. Always have to think about the future!
What is your guilty reading (or listening) pleasure?
I have no shame. Let’s listen to some Cher and flip through gossip magazines.
What books do you feel guilty for not having read?
All of the books friends of mine have written. Sorry, guys!
If you were a literary character, who would you be and why?
Jud Crandall from Pet Sematary. I’m just a weird old man full of tales, weird facts, adventures, and secrets.
If you were stranded on a desert island, what single genre of books would you want with you?Probably survival books, that I will end up eating, because I won’t hunt animals.
What is your perfect reading environment?
Curled up in my reading nook with my cats, Conway Kitty and Purretta Lynn.
Before you worked here, what was your worst library transgression?
I have a book from Edwardsville Library from around Y2K. My parents got stuck paying the bill for it because I had lost it and it took a long time to resurface again! It's about Rock N Roll/Metal music throughout the years and was at the bottom of a tote of my childhood toys and art supplies!
