Share Your Library Story

SIUE Professor, YMCA fitness instructor, Affiliate Director of “I Support the Girls – Edwardsville", and wife & mother of three, Alicia A. has lived in Edwardsville for 18 years. One of the things she most appreciates about the library is its connection to the community. “We love the beautiful inviting atmosphere and the friendly, helpful staff. Whether it's through supporting non-profits or offering awesome events like the Summer Kick-off, the library staff is always thinking of new ways to create programming and offer resources that strengthen our community.”

Alicia and her family love being able to come to the library to check things out and attend programs. “My kids frequently beg to come to the library because they love the books, movies, and even American Girl Dolls.” Past programs they especially loved were the Stuffed Animal Sleepovers and visiting with Pete the Cat. “Whether you're retired, a teenager, or a growing family, you can find something useful at the library. You can find anything from DVDs, to puppets, to pickleball sets, to fishing poles!”
