"Libraries have always been my home away from home!"

Frequent EPL visitor, Anne H. loves bringing her two granddaughters to story times and other library events. "My favorite experience has to be watching my granddaughters engaged in story time as they listen intently to the stories, sing songs, and make creative and fun art projects they can bring home. As a life-long reader it makes me happy to see them excitedly choosing books to checkout and reading together with them in the library’s comfy chairs. It’s also great to see them making new friends doing puzzles and playing with the puppets in the Archi room."

Weekly visits to her hometown library began early for Anne and her siblings. "I’ve always enjoyed reading, my mother introduced me to libraries at a young age." She has continued coming back to the library to check out book and audiobooks for herself and her granddaughters, to attend programs for both children and adults, and to use EPL's comfortable spaces for research, reading, and studying. Access to online resources, such as Consumer Reports, from home has also been appreciated.

When asked about EPL's role in the community, Anne said, "I think the library will always strive to keep evolving and meeting the specific needs of its community. Though, at its core, it will likely always be a community space that provides print and digital reading materials for pastime reading and personal growth, access to computers and other electronic devices, and one-on-one help using them."
