Volunteering in the Youth Library

Volunteer holding books to put on a shelf

Whether you need to fulfill service hours, want to get involved in your community, or just enjoy being among the books, check out the opportunities listed below! Volunteer applicants for postings on this page should be at least 12 years old and under 18 years old, unless otherwise approved by a librarian.

Our teen volunteers assist in the organization and maintenance of the Youth Library to support a welcoming environment for our visitors. They also help prepare and run special programs that we provide seasonally. By participating in volunteer activities, you will gain experience and skills that look great on college and job applications.

We can schedule volunteers according to their availability. Aside from special events, many of the tasks that may be assigned can be done any day of the week, at a time that is convenient for you while the library is open. If you must miss your designated time, we ask that you contact us at least 24 hours in advance if possible.
