When did you start working at EPL and what do you here?

I started as a circulation clerk (the guy at the desk) February of 2023.

Earliest memory of being in a library?

I took an Elementary school science project extremely seriously and wanted to do research of density and buoyancy, not that I really understood either of those words fully, and so I checked out books on the subject and parroted them to my teacher the next day at school.

Scythe
Favorite book genre/favorite book/favorite author

My favorite genre is modern fantasy, my favorite book is Scythe by Neal Schusterman, and my favorite author is Mark Waid.

Would you rather only be able to whisper or only able to shout?

Definitely whisper, being loud in public places fills me with anxiety.

What is your favorite aspect of working at the library?

I love projects and problem solving both of which are facilitated by this type of environment.

What’s your favorite word?

I have deep love in my heart for “rowdy.”

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

In only the nerdiest ways. Reading comics, playing video games, D&D, or Magic: The Gathering, painting miniatures, the whole nine yards.

Would you rather talk like Yoda or breathe like Darth Vader for the rest of your life?

I think breathing like Vader would be much less of a nuisance to those around me.

Why should people visit the library?

I think a lot of people don’t realize just how much we have to offer other than books. Video games, D&D, telescopes, movies, TV shows, graphic novels, anything I’m not going to reread or replay often enough I have to have it, the library is the place to go for that.
